João Vas
João began taking photographs after completing a photography workshop conducted by Internews in March 2004. He prefers to photograph nature – especially landscapes, culture and children. His series of photos of Timor’s coffee was published in KUMPANI magazine in Finland. Since July 2004 he has been working at the Centro Fotografia together with an American photographer, Dan Groshong creating archives and his work has been published in an anthology book “Land of Discovery” promoting tourism in Timor-Leste.
