Mario Jonny dos Santos
Jonny started photography when he joined Timor Post daily newspaper in 2001. The photos he took mostly concerned everyday life. Jonny has been a photographer to official Timor-Leste delegations attending international event such as the 2003 Sea Games in Vietnam. In the same year, he was awarded Appreciation of Photographer from Timor Leste Footbal Federation. He was part of Timor media delegation to cover Timor Leste’s President Xanana Gusmão’s official visit to Medan and Aceh after December 2004 Tsunami tragedy. Jonny has completed documentation projects for national and international NGO’s such as UNICEF, UNDP, & UNFPA. Currently, he works as a reporter and a photographer at the Timor Post.
