Timor-Leste Photographers’ Association

TiLPA is an organization that was founded by eight East Timorese photographers and one Australian photographer on the 23rd of March 2005 in Dili, Timor-Leste. They are Candido Alves, Cristina Belo, Mario Jonny Santos, Suzana Cardoso, Jimmy Campos, Ze'sopol C. Caminha, Yahya Lambert, Wend Lear and Joao Vas.

As the first photographers association in Timor-Leste, TiLPA’s aim is to assist and educate its members in photographic techniques, archiving, and business practices to ensure professionalism and the success of Timorese photographers. The organization’s vision is to increase local and global awareness of issues in Timor-Leste through photography. TiLPA's members are individuals who are dedicated to photography as their main profession. TiLPA is a self-funded organization.
