|
| Katie Macaulay began writing as a young girl. Her unruly imagination led her to study Creative Writing as part of her | ||
| Arts Degree at Melbourne University, graduating in 1999.
After a few years working in Marketing and Media roles, in 2002 she took
a year off work to write her first novel (unpublished). A few years later
she met Jorge, a photographer and now her fiancé, and by 2005 they
decided to use their writing and photographic skills to create a book
together on East Timor. Her affinity with the Timorese was immediate and
she hopes to live there in the future to raise a family. She hopes this
book will make a difference to the lives of the Timorese and Australia’s
understanding of the nation." Katie is based in Melbourne running her business as a trainer in workplace skills and body-centred living, using her knowledge of yoga, tai chi and chi gung. |
