Almeida - Musician Singer/Songwriter Paulo Almeida was born in East Timor in 1974. Paulo has being involved in Melbourne's Reggae scene for many years. After forming 'Natural Mystic' with good friend Gil Santos in 1997 the band had the privilege of playing many festivals and supporting South Africa's reggae greats O'Yaba and Mocambique's Mabulu. In 1999 both Paulo and Gil left the band and decided to concentrate on the well known 'Dili Allstars'. Paulo is the lead singer of the Dili's and has being involved in many projects, concerts, workshops and most recent 'Singing for Water'a project to raise money for sanitation in East Timor. He has shared the stage with people like Ross Wilson,John Farnham,Kylie Minogue and most recently Michael Franti of Spearhead." |
